Remember the first aspect of the digital world is that it is DYNAMIC. The images created will be capture as an archive set. From this set derivative files can be created and the content re-purposed into various electronic collections. Formats include but are not limited to TIFF, JPEG, Text, PDF or DjVU

Archive Image Set

This file set is used to create output for web viewing or reformatted for POD. These images may consist of Full color or Grey-scale JPEG files or 200-600 DPI Bi-tonal TIFF.

Image Formats

If you are distributing documents PDF, Word or text files are appropriate. Photographs would display in JPEG. Historical materials PDF or DjVu formats are appropriate. Remember that we can reprocess images later as well as add content to your collections later.

DjVu.Org
A great site explaining this latest format from AT&T.

DjVu is a high compression method allowing content holders to delivery high fidelity images to the web, retaining the look and feel of the original source material. A great way to deliver primary source documents to the WEB. This link will bring you to DjVU.org
